A
DAY IN THE LIFE
At
first, let's compare the information of each country
URUGUAY:
The day of Vanessa starts with a trip of 100 feet only to collect 25
liters, and she must to share them with more all the members of his
family, they are 4 in total.
After,
she collects 15 liters more. In total, 40 liters per day.
UK:
William starts collecting 100 l, just walking 5 meters.
Then,
he collects 80 liters and share some of the water with his fathers,
his sister and his pets. He spends 180 liters per day.
GHANA:
Aemyo starts her day collecting 15 liters of water. She must to walk
4 miles to take the water. She must share her water with his family
(3 people in total, she is included), then, she collects 25 liters
more.
40
liters per day.
And
Aemyo's mother is sick from driking dirty water, she has to use an
extra 7 litres of water to bathe her.
INDIA:
Amit starts at 6:00am.He walks 0.2 miles to collect only 25 l for 4
people, included Amit.He must share the water with his family, and he
spend the time in the school (4 days a week) and helping their
family.Later,he spend 30 minutes and walk 0.2 miles to collect 15
l,but later his family must to give 7 l to other family of the
neighbourhood.
USA:
Darlene starts the day walk 10 metres to the kitchen to
collect 200 l of water.
She
has to share the water with their mother,father,3 sisters and 3
brothers,in total (included Darlene) 200 l of water for 9
people.Later, take 1 trip to the kitchen to collect, 150 l of water.
CONCLUSION:
Let's
talk about the comparations between each country.
-For
example, William spends 50 liters in a shower, juts for himself, and
childs like Amit, Vanessa or Aymyo, just have 40 or less liters to
spend in all the day.
Now,
let's classiffy the social classes of the children.
1º
William: Lives in London (UK), a developed country.
2º
Darline: She lives in USA, a developed country, she's
poorer
than William because her family has more members.
3º
Vanessa: She is from Uruguay, a developing country.
4º
Amyo: She is from Ghana, an underdeveloped country
5º
Amit: He is from India, an underdeveloped country, he has
the worst situation.
Ok,
now let's compare the richer one (Willy) with the poorer one (Amit).
Amit
must walk long distances to take just 25 liters, and he must to share
them with his family. He must do all his day life activities with
that amount of water.
Just
think about it, cook, drink, toleting (just washing his hands and
feets)... And for 4 people. Aswell, he must give 7 liters of water
to some of their neighbourhoods.
*To
calculate the amount of water that he needs to do all his activities,
we've needed to search, for example, types of food which need little
amounts of water.
In
the other hand, we have the William's case. Wasting all the water hi
needs, without any problems, without walking long distances... He
spends in three hours, William spends 70'9 liters, so, he spends 30
liters more than Amit in one day.
*
To calculate this, we've spend all the water that we want.
Final
conclusion:
We
learn about “one day in the life of:India,USA,UK,Ghana and
Uruguay”.
We
can see the injustice of this countries. Some cases are so horrible
(example Ghana and India) because at the end of the day, this
countries only have 100 ml.While,USA can spends too much water and at
the end of the day William have more than 20 l.
